With employees working across the world, it’s important for us to foster connections in smaller communities to develop relationships and share resources. That’s why we partnered with Grace Centers of Hope in Pontiac, Michigan. We found out about this group in conversation with some of our employees and our strategic partners, Kelly Services, Allegis Global Solutions, and Guidant Global. We realized there was a great opportunity to contribute to Grace Centers of Hope’s needs, both in terms of immediate, practical assistance and long-term support.
Grace Centers of Hope provides comprehensive recovery services to individuals and families in need, which help participants regain their confidence and stability, earn a GED, and transition to affordable living upon completion.
In partnership with Kelly Services, Allegis Global Solutions, and Guidant Global, SPECTRAFORCE recently contributed to a few initiatives in August 2024 to support Grace Centers of Hope:
Blessing Bags
Blessing Bags are a tangible way to provide support to people in need, providing essential personal items for individuals in recovery programs. Last year, we provided items and packed and distributed 100 bags. This year, we created and delivered 236 total bags (100 for men, 100 for women, and 36 for children, as well as additional donations for children from AGS and Kelly Services) with the help of 40 people from our combined organizations. In special partnership with Guidant Global, we also wrote personal letters to all 100 women.
Professional Development Support
As an employment agency, if there’s one thing we know, it’s jobs! We conducted a series of mock interviews with some of our leading experts to give Grace Centers of Hope residents meaningful practice in applying for jobs. Nine participants also received personalized resume feedback, giving them the tools they need to succeed in the job market.
We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with Grace Centers of Hope, Kelly OGS, Allegis Global Solutions, and Guidant Global again this year. The time and energy that Grace Centers of Hope offers people during a one-year period — supporting them spiritually, personally, physically, and professionally — is truly remarkable.
