Job Title: Clinical Informaticist (Mosaic & Oncology)
Location:  St. Joseph Medical Center Chicago, IL (onsite)
Schedule: Full-time, onsite.
Occasional travel to nearby facilities may be required.
 
Overview
Role Scope and Purpose

• Position supports oncology centers using Mosaic system within clinical informatics
• Primary goal is to assess current state, identify gaps, and recommend improvements
• Work will include analysis of workflows, system build, and overall inefficiencies
• Resource expected to act as a “detective” initially by observing and evaluating environment
• Success defined by identifying issues and helping bring systems and workflows back on track

Background and Business Need

• Oncology systems and support have historically been neglected and not actively managed
• Current state has escalated into operational issues requiring intervention
• Project is intended to remediate and stabilize environment rather than ongoing support initially
• Potential for extension depending on complexity and progress made

Location and Travel

• Role requires local presence in Chicago and surrounding suburb hospitals
• Work primarily on-site with flexibility across multiple facilities in Chicagoland area
• Travel between locations expected to be occasional and not frequent or daily
• Mileage reimbursement policy discussed but expected to have minimal impact

Duration

• Initial duration set at three months
• Not a hard stop and likely to extend based on project needs and progress
• Goal is to resolve as much as possible within initial timeframe but flexibility acknowledged

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong requirement for experience with Mosaic oncology system
• Targeting candidates with five to ten years of oncology experience
• Oncology clinical background preferred but not required
• Familiarity with Epic and Cerner preferred but not essential
• Adjustments made to ensure requirements are not contradictory
