Job Title: Warehouse Operations Manager
Location: Afton, TX
Duration: Full-Time Role
 
The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, and 
dispatch of goods within the warehouse setting. This role involves strategic planning and managing people, processes, 
and systems to ensure goods are handled effectively while maintaining safety and compliance standards.
 
General Purpose: Ensure efficient and effective warehouse operations to meet business objectives and customer 
demands.
 
Role qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations management
  • Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in warehouse environments
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Position responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement warehouse policies and procedures to ensure efficient operational flow
  • Oversee and manage inventory control systems to maintain accurate stock levels and minimize loss
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard warehouse contents and personnel
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure the warehouse meets safety and quality standards
  • Manage and optimize warehouse layout to streamline operations and maximize space utilization
  • Lead, train, and evaluate warehouse personnel to build a high-performing team
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with company processes
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technologies to increase efficiency
  • Forecast future inventory requirements and plan resources accordingly
  • Resolve operational discrepancies and address customer complaints related to warehouse operations
  • Prepare and manage the warehouse operational budget

VMI LEAD
 
Position summary: The Onsite Team Lead provides support and implementation for business Vendor Managed 
Inventory (VMI) programs. 
We are seeking an Onsite VMI Team Lead that would be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the daily 
onsite VMI process and to direct work of personnel in the receipt, unloading, unpacking, storing, issuing, and preparing 
merchandise for deliveries. In addition, the Onsite VMI Team Lead is responsible to perform accurate recording of 
inventory, and manage all VMI re-orders in the Total Safety ERP system.
 
General Purpose: Provide excellent customer service onsite for optimal inventory management
 
Role qualifications: 
  • Excellent customer service skills 
  • High School Graduate or a GED equivalent
  • Must have basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol test

Position responsibilities:
  • Schedules, trains and directs the work of the staff assigned onsite.
  • Inspects incoming & outbound shipments to ensure that correct quantity and quality of merchandise received 
  • conform to requisition specifications, invoices, purchase orders, shipping documents or packing slips.
  • Notifies staff when stocks reach a minimum level.
  • Coordinates with onsite coordinators & supporting staff on delivery dates and correction of errors.
  • Maintains files of stock descriptions, purchase orders; ensures safety practices are followed by all assigned staff; 
  • Works with Department’s inventory software for material/supply receipts and
  • Receive materials and unload merchandise.
  • Stack merchandise on racks and maintain assigned labels.
  • Prepare orders by processing replenishment request; pulling merchandise.
  • Pre-fitting merchandise that will be filled in VMI or vending machines. This includes but is not limited to folding, 
  • bundling, and taping merchandise.
  • Perform regularly scheduled inventory audits (Inside & Outside), report any discrepancies to staff
  • Perform facilities maintenance and follow all safety codes.
  • Abide by specific customer contract agreements
  • Handle cancellations or changes in VMI order and communicate changes with the related departments
  • Coordinate with customers and related departments within the company 
  • On-call as needed
  • Perform other related duties as required
