Job Description/ Responsibilities:
  • Extensive knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Windows Environments and SQL queries
  • Knowledge on scripting (Shell, Perl, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge on ITIL process
  • Ability to schedule and develop new jobs using TWS/IWA scheduler tool
  • Automate and provide a permanent fix through scheduling to avoid any manual work around.
  • Ability to understand the Client/Applications perspective as well as explain the developers view if any.
  • Implement the requirements/changes raised by the application teams or the client in a productive manner.
  • Expected to work along with various application Owners and their teams.
  • Knowledge about FTP and SFTP
  • Need to schedule the jobs in IWA development region and keep a track of its implementation till the production Go-Live.
  • To be a part of any planned migration or maintenance activities if need arises.
  • Co-ordinate with testing teams to debug the defects in Development instances.
  • Expected to provide additional support to any new project activities included as a part of our road map in near future.
  • Expected to work with IBM support people in case of any blockage or bug found in the latest IWA version.
  • Co-ordinate with the client/application teams to complete all the project related activities to meet the deadline.
  • Ability to handle the incidents raised regarding IWA and provide a resolution within the breach period.
  • Assist Monitoring team with their queries and in certain complex situations.
  • Be vigilant to respond to the mails and calls from the members of same or related projects.
  • Interact with operations, functional, technical, and various technology teams on a regular basis
  • Frequent tracking, review and reporting on ticket progress and adherence to CPIs and KPIs
  • Work with various Technology teams to gather and review minor enhancement estimates
  • Provide traceable milestones/ETAs to customers on tickets (build project plan when needed)
  • Reduce or minimize backlog of tickets (incidents, requests, tasks etc)
  • Review RCAs to ensure the outcome is meaningful, measurable, and trackable for customers
  • Ensure RCA is completed on time and follow through on ETAs for implementation of action items to ensure permanent resolution is completed on time
  • Monitor progress on tickets and responsible for on time delivery to customer
  • Ensure security risks and SOX compliance adherence is maintained for applications in scope
  • Handle migration project on TWS complete environment
  • IWS Environment design on multi-workstation layout
  • Responsibility to Patch the TWS servers as well as agents
  • Experience in TWS event monitoring and workload automation
  • SAP job creation and management in SAP systems
  • Creation and modification of Jobs, JobStreams, plan cycle, Creation of calendar and periodic updating with respect to client requirement
  • Proactively monitoring and scheduling the Jobs, JobStreams and objects on the current planlist using the IWS for Windows/ Unix production and staging environment
  • Installing and administrating IWS Master and Agent servers
  • Installing Patching and maintaining IWS (windows. Unix and Linux servers)
  • Testing new jobs and batch Scheduling, troubleshooting
  • Migrating jobs from Staging to production environment
  • Updating and creating the SOP periodically according to the Project requirement
  • Improving and supporting the Infrastructure for IWS
  • Providing guidance and insight for the job standards, troubleshooting and Schedule configuration
