Job Title: Temporary Special Project Associate - Receiving Department
Location:Leeds, AL 35094
Duartion: 4+ Months
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (30 min lunch, 2-10 min breaks) Any OT must be authorized ahead of time.
Pay Rate: $18.94/hr.
(Note- This is a temporary, project-based position intended to support special inventory, materials, and continuous improvement initiatives. Work assignments and project durations may vary based on business needs.)
Position Overview
A reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Special Projects Support Associate to assist with various
materials and inventory-related projects. This role will support operational initiatives that require
physical inventory counts, data collection, equipment operation, and material verification. The
ideal candidate is self-motivated, able to work independently, follow directions, manage time
effectively, and accurately collect and report data.
Essential Responsibilities
Conduct physical inventory and cycle count activities.
Count, verify, and reconcile material quantities in designated locations.
Operate motorized material-handling equipment safely, including forklifts and other
powered industrial vehicles (as authorized and trained).
Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, blueprints, and basic technical documents.
Measure materials accurately using tape measures and other measuring devices.
Utilize small and large scales to weigh materials and record results.
Gather, organize, and maintain project-related data using Microsoft Excel.
Create labels and place them in specific material locations
Create and update spreadsheets to support inventory accuracy and project reporting.
Assist with material audits, warehouse organization, and inventory validation projects.
Document findings and communicate progress to project leadership.
Follow established safety procedures and company policies.
Work independently while managing priorities and meeting project deadlines.
Perform other special project assignments as directed by supervisor/manager.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to accurately count and verify inventory.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry and spreadsheet management.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, prints, or schematics.
Ability to use a tape measure and read measurements accurately.
Ability to operate motorized equipment safely.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to follow instructions and work with limited supervision.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Strong work ethic and dependability.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous warehouse, manufacturing, inventory control, or materials experience.
Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment.
Experience conducting inventory counts or cycle counts.
Familiarity with ERP, inventory management, or warehouse systems.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to move up to 35 pounds. (Constant pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and lifting)
Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb as needed.
Ability to work in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment.
Ability to operate material-handling equipment safely.
