Location: Leeds, AL
Job Title: Temporary Special Projects Support Associate – Receiving Department
Duration: 119-Day Contract (4 months )
Pay Rate: $18.94/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

  • 30-minute lunch
  • Two 10-minute breaks
  • Overtime must be pre-approved by the supervisor.

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Temporary Special Projects Support Associate to assist with inventory, materials, and warehouse-related special projects. This position supports operational initiatives by conducting physical inventory counts, collecting and maintaining data, verifying materials, operating warehouse equipment, and ensuring inventory accuracy.

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, organized, capable of working independently, and committed to maintaining accuracy while meeting project deadlines.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical inventory and cycle count activities.
  • Count, verify, and reconcile inventory quantities in designated warehouse locations.
  • Operate forklifts and other powered industrial/material-handling equipment (as trained and authorized).
  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
  • Measure materials accurately using tape measures and other measuring tools.
  • Weigh materials using small and large scales and accurately record results.
  • Gather, organize, and maintain project data using Microsoft Excel.
  • Create and place inventory labels in designated material locations.
  • Create and update spreadsheets to support inventory accuracy and project reporting.
  • Assist with warehouse organization, material audits, and inventory validation projects.
  • Document findings and communicate project progress to leadership.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
  • Work independently while managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Perform additional special project assignments as directed by management.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to accurately count and verify inventory.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel skills, including data entry and spreadsheet management.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, or schematics.
  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
  • Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to follow instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse, manufacturing, inventory control, or materials handling.
  • Forklift or powered industrial equipment operating experience.
  • Experience performing physical inventory or cycle counts.
  • Familiarity with ERP, warehouse management, or inventory management systems.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, stoop, and move materials weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Ability to reach, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse and/or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.
