Position Title: Technical Writer

Work Location: Irving, TX 75038, USA

Assignment Duration: 3+ Months

Work Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Work Arrangement: Onsite

Position Summary:

The Technical Writer III will be responsible for developing, documenting, and maintaining technical processes and procedures related to trade compliance and manufacturing operations.

This role will work closely with stakeholders to map current and future-state processes, create detailed process documentation, and translate complex manufacturing and compliance concepts into clear, user-friendly materials.

Background & Context:

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an evolving environment and capable of gathering information from multiple sources to support business process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing, documenting, and maintaining technical processes and procedures related to trade compliance and manufacturing operations.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to map current and future-state processes.
  • Create detailed process documentation.
  • Translate complex manufacturing and compliance concepts into clear, user-friendly materials.
  • Gather information from multiple sources to support business process improvements.

Qualification & Experience:

  • 4 to 6 years of technical writing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Technical writing and process documentation.
  • Process mapping and workflow development.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in ambiguous or changing environments.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Visio proficiency for process flow creation.
  • Manufacturing industry experience.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
  • Supply chain operations experience.
  • Oracle and/or ADMS system knowledge.
  • Project management experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma knowledge or certification.
  • Trade compliance experience.
  • Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong computer proficiency and project management skills preferred.
