Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Team Lead – Phlebotomy to support multiple patient service locations across the Charlotte region. This role is hands-on and leadership-oriented, requiring strong phlebotomy expertise, flexibility to float between sites, and the ability to act as the point of contact when supervisors are unavailable.
The ideal candidate has broad phlebotomy experience across patient populations, thrives in fast-paced environments, and can confidently resolve issues across multiple locations.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Perform primary phlebotomy duties, including venipuncture using butterfly and straight-needle techniques.
• Float and provide coverage across various sites (patient service centers, doctor offices, off-site locations).
• Troubleshoot and resolve phlebotomy-related challenges across locations.
• Assist supervisors by identifying coverage solutions when staff call out.
• Conduct occasional site inspections as needed.
• Serve as the main point-of-contact when the supervisor is unavailable.
• Maintain exceptional customer service, professionalism, and communication at every location.

 
Required Experience & Skills

• 3–4 years of phlebotomy experience (hospital experience preferred).
• Proficient with adult and pediatric blood draws.
• Experience performing drug screens strongly preferred.
• North Carolina certification not required — hands-on experience is most important.
• Ability to operate independently in a floating capacity across multiple sites.
• Reliable, mobile, and available for early morning operational needs (approx. 5:30 AM).
• Strong problem-solving, customer service, and follow-through skills.
• Must have no personal constraints affecting mobility or schedule flexibility.
