Pay Rate: $22-$35/hr. based on experience
2nd/4th Shift Differential of $3/hr
 
Shift Hours 
  • 2nd Shift Hours: 4pm - 2am (MON -THUR/ overtime possible on Friday)
   
Position Overview:
Individual will be responsible for setting up and operating the Swiss Screw Machines and Multi-Spindle Lathe machines. Individual will adhere to current ISO requirements and observe all safety and housekeeping requirements.
 
 
Essential Job Functions: This description outlines the major duties and responsibilities assigned to this job. The employee may be required to perform other duties not covered in this description
  • Responsible for operation of swiss an lathe machines; including, loading bar stock, filling fluids, and removing chips from machine.  
  • Responsible for performing setup on swiss and lathe machine; including, tooling changes and adjustments to ensure continued conformance to specifications. 
  • Responsible for conformance with quality specifications. 
  • Ability to assist other in trouble shooting, and maintenance activities.  
  • Ability to assist in training others on operation and setup of swiss and lathe machines. 
  • General Housekeeping of work area.
 
Skills and Experience:
Must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily and meet the physical demands to successfully perform the essential function of this job.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or physical ability required. At CMC’s discretion, exceptions to these can be made to accommodate individual circumstances.
  • Candidate must have minimum of 1-year prior Swiss setup or Lathe setup experience or Swiss/Lathe-based education.  This is not a trainable position.
  • Education – High school diploma or GED preferred.  Employee must be able to perform basic reading, writing and mathematical functions. 
  • Language Skills – Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memorandums, and correspondence.  Must be able to read and decipher electrical schematics and machine drawings. Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and in writing.
 
Physical requirements:
  • Stand up for 8+
  • Bending, pushing, and lifting >30 pounds
  • Available working in cold and hot environment
