Duration: Long-term Contract (Through July 26, 2028)
Location: Remote with Travel
Travel Requirement: 25–30% travel (approximately 1 week per month) to assigned manufacturing sites across the US, Puerto Rico, and Costa Rica.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Site Deployment: Own the localized deployment of the Future Focused Planning program at assigned manufacturing sites. Serve as the primary, dedicated transformation contact on-site.
- Phased Wave Execution: Support a single manufacturing site through its initial deployment phase and site go-live (Months 1 to 7). Beginning in Month 8, gradually transition to the next deployment wave while maintaining a light-touch sustainability support for the previous site.
- Process Alignment & Adoption: Partner closely with site leadership and local supply planning teams to drive the transition toward the new Target Operating Model (TOM), ensuring process compliance.
- Readiness & Gap Analysis: Conduct thorough site readiness assessments, identify process or capability gaps against the target state, and execute pragmatic, site-specific deployment and change management plans.
- Training & Capability Building: Deliver training and coaching sessions to site planning teams to build confidence and competence in new tools and ways of working.
- Risk & Metric Tracking: Track and report site-level progress, milestones, and KPIs to the Deployment Lead. Proactively identify, mitigate, and escalate risks and barriers to adoption.
Qualifications & Technical Skillset
Experience & Education
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (required). Master's degree or professional specialization in Supply Chain/Operations (preferred).
- Core Experience: 5–8 years of experience in supply planning, demand planning, or S&OP specifically within a manufacturing site environment. The manager is ideally targeting individuals who have operated around the Senior Manager level within site teams.
- Industry Priority: Pharmaceutical manufacturing experience is strongly preferred and will be heavily prioritized. Candidates from other highly regulated manufacturing industries will only be considered as a secondary option.
Technical & Project Skills
- System Knowledge: Experience using Advanced Planning Systems (APS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools beyond Excel is critical. Practical knowledge of systems such as SAP, SAP IBP, SAP APO, Infor Finite Scheduling, or Blue Yonder (JDA/Manugistics) is highly preferred. (Note: IT implementation expertise is not required; dedicated technical SMEs will support the tech stack).
- Project Delivery: Proven track record working on large-scale business process improvement projects with defined timelines, deliverables, and metrics.
- Change Management: Strong fundamental knowledge of business transformation and change management principles (certification is desirable but not mandatory).
Soft Skills & Leadership
- Influence Without Authority: Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills. Ability to build alignment across multi-departmental teams within a manufacturing site and bridge communication with global supply chain teams.
- Autonomy: Highly comfortable working independently at the site level with minimal day-to-day supervision.
Workplace Environment & Logistics
- Remote Status: When not traveling to assigned manufacturing facilities, the resource will operate entirely from a remote home office.
- On-Site Requirements: The client will provide required laptops and company equipment. Standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be provided on-site; steel-toed shoes will be required when visiting manufacturing floors.
