Job Title: Senior Scientist, Method Development
Location: Lincoln, NE, 68462
Duration: 12 Months
Job Summary
Responsible for assessing, developing, and validating analytical methods to deliver accurate data and ensure products continue to meet internal quality standards and the expectations of customers and global health authorities.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide expertise in Analytical Science and Technology, including method development and validation, impurity structure elucidation, and analytical instrumentation activities such as installation, qualification, and calibration.
• Lead projects in a team environment to meet or exceed established objectives while applying proactive thinking and creative problem-solving skills to complex technical challenges.
• Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), data integrity requirements, laboratory processes, procedures, and good documentation practices.
• Support the client's network as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead activities related to analytical methods, instrumentation, troubleshooting, and investigation resolution.
• Plan and execute analytical experiments using HPLC, UPLC, GC, and MS in support of project timelines and objectives.
• Participate in cross-functional improvement projects by contributing new ideas and carrying out improvement initiatives.
• Perform maintenance and operation of common analytical instrumentation and serve as an instrument owner.
Minimum Required Experience
• Hands-on experience with HPLC/UPLC analysis and analytical method development.
• Strong understanding of advanced chemistry, laboratory instrumentation, calibration, and analytical method development.
• Ability to work autonomously in a highly technical environment while supporting project deliverables.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations within a matrixed environment.
Education Requirements
Minimum Education
• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in method development, chemistry, and/or laboratory instrumentation.
Preferred Education
• PhD in Chemistry
OR
• MS Degree with 2+ years of relevant experience
OR
• BS Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
Preferred Specialization
• Analytical Chemistry
