Job Title: Selector II
Location: Jacksonville, FL 32209
Duration: 3 Months (temp-to-perm)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to finish
Overtime: As needed
In-person interview required
 
Job Summary:
The Selector II is responsible for accurately selecting, staging, and preparing products for shipment in a fast-paced food distribution environment. This role requires adherence to warehouse management system (WMS) processes, safe operation of material handling equipment, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
 
Equipment Used:
  • Riding triple pallet jack (required) - please state on resume where they used this piece of equipment
  • Raymond pallet jack experience preferred
  • RF scanners and warehouse systems
Work Environment:
  • Fast-paced food distribution facility
  • Varying temperature zones (including cold storage)
  • Candidates should wear layered clothing for temperature changes
Requirements:
  • Prior experience operating a riding pallet jack required
  • Ability to follow WMS instructions and work independently
  • Ability to lift and move products and perform physically demanding work
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Steel-toe boots (above the ankle) required
  • Strong attention to detail, safety, and productivity
Compliance & Safety:
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and food safety regulations (OSHA, HACCP)
  • Complete pallet jack certification and required training
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needed
Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow WMS-directed pick path to accurately select products from inventory
  • Label, stage, and transport products to the designated shipping area
  • Stack pallets properly (heavier items on bottom, lighter on top) to prevent damage
  • Secure pallets with shrink wrap according to established procedures
  • Record required product and inventory information in the warehouse system
  • Inspect products for damage, shortages, or quality issues and report concerns
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and aisles
  • Work with supervisors to minimize product loss and damage
  • Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions immediately
  • Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned
