Job Title: Selector II
Location: Jacksonville, FL 32209
Duration: 3 months
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday from 8 PM - 4:30 AM
In-person interviews required
 
Note:
  • Environment they will be working in (Cold, Freezer, normal)? All three temp zones
  • Will they be using any equipment? If so, what? Raymond triple pallet jack (The one you ride on)
  • How much will they be lifting without using equipment? 5lb-85lb frequently
  • Dress Code- Dress in layers
 
Responsibilities & Experience:
  • 3-5 Years of Experience.
  • Selecting orders using RF scanning, operating a triple pallet jack
  • Responsible for operating an electric pallet jack or forklift, selecting the correct products from warehouse racking, labeling product using SOS label technology, palletizing product as it is selected to build customer orders, and delivering product to the dock in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Hand selects orders within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including Dry, Cooler, and Freezer.
  • Operates assigned SOS unit to create labels, correctly places labels on product.
  • Stacks product on pallets in accordance with proper selecting procedures (e.g., no stacking heavy-on-light, labels facing out, etc.).
  • Stages pallets for loading on proper dock locations.
  • Stretch-wraps product on loading dock, maintains and safely operates all assigned equipment, including but not limited to pallet jack, SOS unit, and personal protective equipment, and performs pre and post-trip inspections of equipment.
  • Must follow Client’s Safe preferred work methods at all times and follow sanitation requirements in order to comply with policy set forth by Client and by AIB (American Institute of Baking).
  • This position requires working until all products are accurately selected and loaded including potential overtime on holidays and weekends.
  • Essential skills include the ability to meet or exceed minimum efficiency levels established through an engineered production standard.
  • Working rapidly at a constant pace for the entire shift in a fast-paced environment.
  • Meeting or exceeding established cases per error goals, and developing a good working knowledge of product, placement, and inventory control techniques and procedures.
Basic requirements:
  • Being over the age of 18, the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English as it relates to the job and safety requirements.
  • Basic arithmetic skills, and adequate physical fitness to lift up to 100 lbs regularly.
  • Reports to Night Warehouse Manager / Supervisor.
