SAP Warehouse Management (WM)

Position: SAP Warehouse Management (WM)
Location: Rahway NJ/Westpoint PA
Duration: 6-12 Months
 
Responsibilities:

• Led end-to-end design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Warehouse Management (WM) solutions for both Storage Unit (SU) and Handling Unit (HU) managed warehouses, including complete warehouse setup from blueprint to go-live. Having experience in EWM also.
• Configured and supported core warehouse processes including goods receipt, putaway, replenishment, picking, packing, staging, stock transfers, cycle counting, and physical inventory management.
• Implemented and optimized manual and automated warehouse operations, integrating SAP WM with warehouse automation technologies, scanners, conveyors, and Warehouse Control Systems.
• Designed warehouse structures and strategies including warehouse numbers, storage types, storage sections, storage bins, interim storage types, picking areas, and putaway/removal strategies.
• Configured HU Management processes including packing specifications, handling unit creation, nesting, label printing, and HU movement tracking across warehouse operations.
• Worked closely with SAP MM processes, supporting inventory management, material movements, goods receipt/issues, transfer postings, batch management, serial number management, and material master integration.
• Developed functional specifications and partnered with ABAP teams to deliver enhancements, user exits, BADIs, RF developments, reports, forms, interfaces, and custom warehouse solutions.
• Resolved complex SAP WM production incidents through detailed root cause analysis, defect resolution, performance optimization, and implementation of sustainable corrective actions.
• Supported integration of SAP WM with MM, PP, QM, SD and external 3PL solutions, ensuring seamless end-to-end logistics and inventory flows.
• Led Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, documentation, SOP creation, user training, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and inventory accuracy.
