Job Description

Role:  SAP EWM Functional
Location - Onsite at Moline, IL,

Job Description/ Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing SAP EWM solutions to optimize warehouse operations, and configuring settings to meet specific warehouse needs.
  • Analyzing business requirements and translating them into SAP EWM configurations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate EWM with other SAP modules, and providing end-user training and support.
  • Strong grounding in warehouse logistics/supply chain, problem-solving, and ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Propose and build standard and custom solutions for Labor Management, Slotting, Physical Inventory, and Cartonization using SAP EWM.
  • Build integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems using tools like Azure API, MuleSoft, or SAP PI.
  • Develop and enable "personas" flavors/scripting to meet complex business requirements (SAP's simplified UI framework).
  • Create KPI dashboards for warehousing measures using embedded analytics.
  • Develop scripts for various EWM scenarios to automate functional testing.
  • Requirements gathering, business process design, configuration, testing, training, and go-live/post-go-live support (standard across EWM implementation roles at Deere and similar manufacturers).

What are the top 3 skills required for this role?
1. SAP EWM Configuration & Functional Design Deep hands-on experience building EWM solutions for core warehouse processes — Labor Management, Slotting, Physical Inventory, and Cartonization. This is the technical core of the role: translating warehouse/logistics requirements into working EWM configurations.
2. Integration Development Ability to build integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems using tools like Azure API, MuleSoft, or SAP PI. Deere's EWM systems don't run in isolation — they connect into a broader enterprise landscape, so integration skills are treated as a first-class requirement, not a nice-to-have.
3. Cross-Module SAP Breadth Working knowledge across adjacent modules — SD, MM, PP, FI/CO, GTS, and WM/EWM — sufficient to design test scenarios and judge test coverage. Because warehouse processes touch sales, materials, production, and finance, Deere wants EWM people who can see how their piece fits into the bigger SAP picture, not just specialists who only know one module.
