Job Description

Job Title: Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (aGML) – Emerging Markets.
Location: Corpus Christi, TX (Candidate must be within 40 minutes of the location)
Duration: 12 Months Assignment

 
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for winning new business across assigned geography.
  • Contribute to the overall growth strategy of company.
  • Travel to emerging markets and manage a largely transactional deal cycle.
  • Drive new partnerships with local and regional restaurants.
  • Coordinate with the Regional Sales Manager on the Outside Sales team.
  • Utilize sales tools including sales sheets, gift cards, business cards, and other resources.
  • Conduct most sales transactions face-to-face in the field.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory as required.
  • Majority of travel will be within 2 hours of the hiring city.
  • May require overnight hotel stays and longer travel days (6–7 hours driving or plane travel).
  • Travel expenses will be covered by the company.
  • Travel activity will be monitored for compliance.
What You Will Do
  • Travel and expand the company footprint in emerging markets, primarily rural and untapped areas.
  • Sell restaurant owners on the value of partnering with company.
  • Negotiate revenue share agreements.
  • Work in a fast-paced, transactional sales cycle.
  • Close new business opportunities within days.
Requirements
  • 2.5+ years of sales experience in a closing sales role or related experience.
  • Candidates with 2+ years of successful SMB sales experience, especially selling to restaurants or food & beverage businesses.
  • Ability to travel to destination markets at least 50% of the time.
  • Ability to meet with restaurant owners in person.
  • Efficient and strategic with both inside and outside sales tactics.
  • Ability to achieve sales goals.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Enjoy building strategies and playbooks for scalable success.
Compensation
  • Fixed pay rate of $29/hr due to commission structure (will be explained by the manager during the interview).
  • Base compensation plus commission for every new restaurant partnership.
  • On Target Earnings (OTE) for commissions: $1,900 per month.
  • Opportunity to exceed OTE.
  • Commission structure is uncapped.
