Services to Be Performed
- Identify and communicate compliance issues, risks, and improvement opportunities through daily, weekly, and monthly safety audits.
- Facilitate incident and accident investigations.
- Maintain required documentation to ensure compliance with client policies and regulatory requirements.
- Enter safety and compliance information into internal databases in a timely manner.
- Conduct workplace observations and safety audits.
- Train and assist Area Managers and team members in completing safety responsibilities, including audits and compliance with safety procedures.
- Deliver job-specific safety training as assigned by management.
- Support fire prevention, hazardous waste management, and other environmental health and safety activities as required by the business unit.
- Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives and drive corrective actions to completion.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) role, or a bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910.
- Professional experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding security and personnel-related matters.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Health & Safety or a related field.
- Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, judgment, and customer service skills.
- Experience leading or managing teams.
- Ability to analyze accident data, evaluate new processes and equipment, and perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHA).
- Experience in emergency response and possession of applicable certifications.
- Experience with Workers' Compensation case management.
- Passion for workplace safety and continuous improvement.
- Experience in healthcare or industrial environments.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience managing Workers' Compensation cases.
