Position Title: Research Associate III - Assay Development
Work Location: 1910 East Innovation Park Drive, Tucson AZ, 85755
Assignment Duration: 24 months
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Position Summary:
This is an onsite position requiring 4–6 years of post-college experience.
Conduct research, development, and manufacturing laboratory experimentation to support projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and execute experimental protocols with minimal supervision, including making observations and analyzing data.
• Prepare and present technical reports, summaries, and quantitative analyses; maintain complete and accurate records.
• Troubleshoot problems and institute corrective actions.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment by providing creative solutions and input to project planning.
• Contribute to process improvement suggestions and assist in identifying patentable inventions.
• Train colleagues and monitor work to ensure quality and continuous adherence to the Quality First Time principle.
• Exercise judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for complex problems.
Qualification & Experience:
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences
• Experience: 4–6 years of relevant post-college job experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in a range of specialized wet laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, using a balance and stir plate, etc.); capable of searching scientific literature; skilled with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
• Soft Skills: Good communication and presentation skills, meticulous attention to detail, coachable, collaborative, and a proven ability and desire to learn.
PREFERRED
• Experience with SAFe/Agile planning processes and reporting frameworks
