Position Overview:

• Client is seeking a hands-on Hardware Test Technician to support hardware validation and reliability testing from our Oakland office.
• This role prepares test equipment, executes test plans, captures high-quality data, and works closely with engineers and technicians to identify issues and improve the Client Dot autonomous delivery robot.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare equipment, fixtures, and tools for engineering tests.
• Execute thermal, driving, audio, lighting, user experience, and other hardware tests according to defined procedures.
• Monitor tests, collect data, document results, and escalate issues to test engineers.
• Build, inspect, and troubleshoot low-voltage wire harnesses.
• Configure data logging equipment and instrumentation, including systems that use CAN bus and Ethernet.
• Support occasional testing at labs and test sites around the Bay Area.

Skills:

• Comfortable using common electrical and mechanical test equipment and reading schematics or wiring diagrams.
• Strong troubleshooting, organization, safety, communication, and documentation skills.
• Able to work on-site in Oakland and travel occasionally within the Bay Area.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or higher in electronics, engineering technology, mechatronics, automotive technology, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of related technician experience in hardware testing, validation, reliability, or service environments.
• Hands-on experience with CAN bus systems, Ethernet, and low-voltage harness fabrication.
