Regulatory Compliance Officer

Location: Arecibo, PR 
Pay Rate: $31.73
Schedule: Administrative (4 days on-site, 1 day remote)
Travel Requirement: Approximately 50% travel outside of Puerto Rico (about 2 out of every 4 weeks per month). Travel destinations may include California, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, or Oregon.

Responsibilities:

• Supports/administrates regulatory compliance activities related to the Internal Audit Program and inspections from Regulatory Agencies including FDA and other third parties; certifying groups e.g. LRQA and corporate auditors.
• Facilitate/execute of the internal/external inspection process.
• Generation and tracking of reports/information related to inspection activities.
• Responsible for performing checks/verifications of improvements and commitments resulting from inspection activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality-related function and at least 5 years of overall industry experience.
• Preferred background in a technical discipline such as biology, chemistry, microbiology, or life sciences.
• Strong technical foundation to understand the scientific principles that support and link compliance to regulations.
• Fully bilingual (English and Spanish).
