Job Title:Precision Quality Inspector
Schedule: 2ndShift: 3 pm - 11:30 pm- M-F
Pay: $21.56 per hour + $3.00 Shift Differential

Job Overview
Under general supervision, performs diversified inspection of production parts, such as RIs (Request for Inspection), First Piece Acceptance, Receiving, In-Process Patrol, Final Proof Sampling, etc. to ensure conformance with specifications and initiates Quality notifications when non-conformances arise. Manage Purchase Requisitions and Expense Forecasts for Quality Department. Manages Calibration program for all gages and measurement equipment. Manages CMM Programs as well as Hardware / Software updates for same. Works with Engineering and Quality departments to drive continuous quality improvements.
A Day in the Life
Quality Dept. Purchasing & Expense Forecasting
- Monthly Expense Forecasts for replacement gages and new materials
- Service and Maintenance Contract Coordination
Calibration Coordinator of Gages & Measurement Equipment
- Measures and records results of a variety of gages for ensured accuracy
- Creates and places Purchase Requisitions for Vendor Calibration and approval to management
- Measures and certifies gages that are held at vendors
- Interacts with internal/external auditors for quarterly and annual audits
Precision Inspector of Tooling & Connectors
- Inspects Material from Tooling and Connectors for final acceptance
- Rejects material as required when non-conformance is found
- Interacts with Plant Personnel to confirm in-process quality
Precision Inspector of Connectors for Nuclear
- Performs Nuclear Inspections and certifies all material certifications
Connector First Piece Inspections
- Interacts with Customer Service Reps for order competition and questions
CMM Programmer when needed
- Manages CMM Programs as well as Hardware / Software Updates
- Writes new programs for new first piece inspections as well as updates current programs.
- Works with Engineering and Quality departments to drive continuous quality improvement.

- Ability to multi-task while maintaining multiple key plant programs and the willingness to work overtime as needed to maintain same
- Strong research abilities and the ability to convey learned knowledge in a way that people of varying backgrounds can understand
- An Understanding of Diplomacy and Empathy when dealing with Auditors and Plant Personnel
