Job Title: Planner/Scheduler

Project Overview:
Port Arthur LNG, LLC (PALNG) is developing a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) production and export facility on a site located on the western shoreline of the Port Arthur Canal in Jefferson County, Texas. The project base scope will include two (2) identical LNG trains, two (2) LNG Storage Tanks, one (1) LNG Carrier Berth, and associated utilities/facilities. The Project is to be constructed on a parcel of land located along State Highway 87 south of Port Arthur, Texas, between the inner coastal waterway bridge and Keith Lake. The Infrastructure Global Business Unit (GBU) is executing site civil and marine scopes of work associated with our scopes of work on the Energy GBU LNG projects.

Job Summary:
In this role, you will work with the project team to prepare / maintain project schedule data for the commissioning and startup organization. You will deploy project schedule logic for daily POD and look ahead planning. Main responsibilities will include schedule updates, critical path logic and assist with simultaneous operations. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects stay on track and on time. #LI-CS1

Major Responsibilities:
  • Prepares schedule data for commissioning and startup.
  • Establishes and maintains the schedule for a specific discipline area or specialty
  • Performs schedule development duties to include establishing the work breakdown structure (WBS), determining the work activity duration, establishing the proper workflow logic ties, and provide key updates.
  • Performs schedule monitoring, including identifying critical activities and updating functions for specific applications, disciplines, or specialties
  • Develops critical path schedule reports and schedule performance metrics
  • Determines critical-path activities for assigned discipline or specialty work activities supporting interdisciplinary requirements
  • Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule
  • Monitors and validates subcontractor readiness and deployment.
  • Evaluates subcontractor schedules for required workarounds or potential schedule improvements

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex project controls issues.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, creative solution and problem solving skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated capability to schedule complex engineering and construction projects
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Recent advanced level working knowledge of Primavera, Excel, Access, and Word
