Phlebotomist II

Location: Oakland, MD – 1027 Memorial Dr
Duration: 3 months 
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM | 1st Shift
Work Arrangement: Onsite

Screening: Color vision screening required

Position Summary:
The Phlebotomist II will work at an IOP location in a small, fast-paced, 2-person site. The phlebotomist will interact directly with patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric, perform approximately 35 patient draws per day, and handle specimen processing. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working independently or with one other phlebotomist while maintaining efficiency in a high-demand environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform blood draws on pediatric through geriatric patients.
• Handle approximately 35 patients per day.
• Perform phlebotomy in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
• Process specimens according to site procedures.
• Provide direct patient service in an IOP setting.
• Work independently when needed or alongside one other phlebotomist.
• Maintain efficient workflow while managing a high patient volume.
• Follow applicable site and laboratory procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pediatric and geriatric blood-drawing experience.
• Specimen processing experience.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working independently or with one other phlebotomist.
• Color vision screening required.
