Location: Katy, TX 77493
Training Location: Houston, TX 77040
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Duration- 2 months

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and certified Phlebotomist to join a fast-paced patient service center in Katy, TX. The ideal candidate will be comfortable performing a high volume of blood draws across pediatric, geriatric, and adult patients while maintaining excellent patient care and specimen quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform approximately 30–90 blood draws per day.
  • Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection accurately and efficiently.
  • Collect specimens from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
  • Verify patient identification and ensure accurate specimen labeling.
  • Follow established safety, infection-control, and specimen-handling procedures.
  • Provide professional and compassionate patient care throughout the collection process.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure specimens are properly processed for laboratory testing.
  • Work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced patient service center.
  • Remain standing for the majority of the shift while performing collection duties.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all applicable laboratory and company policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Phlebotomy certification required.
  • At least 2 years of phlebotomy experience.
  • Experience working with pediatric, geriatric, and adult patients.
  • Ability to perform a high volume of blood draws in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and specimen-handling skills.
  • Excellent communication and patient-service skills.
  • Ability to work onsite Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.

Preferred Skills

  • High-volume patient service center experience.
  • Experience performing 30–90+ blood draws per day.
  • Strong venipuncture skills across diverse patient populations.
  • Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Work Environment

  • Fast-paced patient service center.
  • Team-based work environment.
  • Majority of the shift is spent standing.
  • No travel required.
  • No specialty procedures indicated.

Training

  • Approximately 1 week of training is required at the beginning of the assignment.
  • Training/reporting location: 7207 N Gessner Road, Houston, TX 77040.
