Title: Phlebotomist I

Assignment Duration: 3 Months 
Location: 1900 N State Street, Provo, UT
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, 1st Shift
Color Vision Screening required.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Perform phlebotomy on patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric.
  • Complete approximately 25 patient draws per day.
  • Register patients as they arrive.
  • Perform specimen processing.
  • Provide good customer service throughout the patient interaction.
  • Geriatric patient-draw experience is required; pediatric experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Position Summary:

The main function of the Phlebotomist I is to perform blood draws and support front-end patient registration and specimen processing in a patient-facing laboratory environment. The hiring manager is targeting candidates with 1–2 years of experience and is comfortable considering candidates without pediatric experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood draws across a wide patient population, from pediatric to geriatric.
  • Handle approximately 25 patients/draws per day.
  • Register and check in patients upon arrival.
  • Process specimens according to established procedures.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service.
  • Work effectively in a patient-facing environment.

Qualification & Experience:

  • 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred by the Hiring Manager.
  • Experience with geriatric patient draws – required.
  • Pediatric experience – preferred, but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Specimen processing experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • No specific certification is listed as required.
