Phlebotomist I
Location: 1250 E. 3900 South, Suite 1, Salt Lake City, UT
Assignment Duration: 3 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM | 1st Shift

Position Summary

The Phlebotomist I will perform blood draws on a broad patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric patients. The position will handle approximately 25 patients per day and will also be responsible for patient registration and specimen processing.

The Hiring Manager is seeking candidates with 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience. Geriatric patient-draw experience is required, while pediatric experience is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform phlebotomy on patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric populations.

  • Complete approximately 25 patient draws per day.

  • Perform blood draws on geriatric patients.

  • Register and check in patients as they arrive.

  • Process specimens according to established procedures.

  • Provide professional and courteous customer service.

  • Maintain accurate patient and specimen information.

  • Work effectively in a patient-facing laboratory environment.

Required Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.

  • Geriatric patient-draw experience – Required.

  • Good customer service skills – Required.

  • Specimen processing experience – Required.

  • High School Diploma/GED.

  • Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.

  • Color vision screening required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Pediatric phlebotomy experience – Preferred, but not required.

Certifications & Testing

  • No specific phlebotomy certification is listed as required.

  • No required testing.

  • No THC screening required.

  • No Flu or COVID vaccination requirement listed.

  • Hepatitis B: RTB.

Work Environment

  • Patient-facing laboratory setting.

  • Approximately 25 patient draws per day.

  • Patient population ranges from pediatric to geriatric.

  • Strong emphasis on geriatric blood-draw experience, specimen processing, patient registration, and customer service.
