Position Title: Pharmacy Technician 1
Work Location: 111 Chesterfield Industrial Blvd, Chesterfield, MO 63005
Assignment Duration: 12 months
Work Schedule: 8 hours per day, Monday – Friday. Office hours 8 am-6 pm, varying daily. No OT.
Work Arrangement: In Building (Onsite)

Position Summary: Work with the Pharmacists to accurately prepare prescription orders in a timely manner.

Background & Context: This request is to help cover the loss of 2 FTE’s recently to continue providing for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Interact with various departments to provide accurately dispensed prescriptions on a timely basis
• Work under direct supervision of a pharmacist
• Perform prescription data entry functions (preQA) by viewing images and inputting prescription information directly into the system
• Prepare and submit request for prescription refills
• Initiate clarification requests
• Receive verbal instructions from prescribers as allowed by pharmacy regulation
• Complete reorder processing for the timely filling of prescription refills
• Comply with safety, quality assurance, accreditation, legal, state, and federal regulatory requirements, and company policies
• Complete work list according to guidelines set by Manager
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Qualification & Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of pharmacy technician or medical office (i.e. biller, coder, office assistance, or prior authorization/certification) experience. Familiarity with drugs commonly used to treat chronic/debilitating illnesses.
• Current Missouri Pharmacy Technician license OR the ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire (per Foundation Care). State pharmacy technician license relative to assigned pharmacy location required at time of hire for AcariaHealth.
• Licensed tech in MO required.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands (If Applicable):
Lots of walking involved. Physically able to stand for 8 hours daily.
