Nurse Abstractor

Position Title: Nurse Abstractor
Work Location: Remote
Assignment Duration: 3+ months
Work Schedule: M-F 8-5 CST
Work Arrangement: Remote

Position Summary:
Accurately and efficiently conduct electronic medical record abstraction services.
Accurately abstract information from the electronic medical record into the electronic data capture tool.

Background & Context:
Required: oncology RN experience and chart abstraction.

Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately and efficiently conduct electronic medical record abstraction services.
• Accurately abstract information from the electronic medical record into the electronic data capture tool.
• Complete quality, and accuracy testing as requested in a timely manner.
• Abide by all HIPAA and associated patient confidentiality requirements.

Qualification & Experience:
• Must have Oncology RN experience.
• Must have Electronic Medical Chart abstraction experience.
• Must be proficient in navigating through EHR databases.
• Clinical experience/pharmaceutical experience; prefer experience in performing chart abstractions in an oncology setting, academic or research experience helpful.
• Previous data analysis experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Team work oriented.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Excellent computer skills including: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Outlook.
• Must have high speed internet access.
• Know how to utilize Teams.
• Active RN License.
• OCN- preferred.
