Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Seattle, WA
Duration: 9+ Months

Job Description:
  • Design, build and rollout our global DWDM networks
  • Drive scaling designs to meet the demand of our customers
  • Create processes that help operate and build our optical network
  • Work closely with other Networking teams
  • Evaluate new products and drive commercial tender process
  • Ensure that the optical network adheres to the defined network standards
  • Review and implement changes on the optical systems
  • Drive operational excellence projects to drive improvements in our DWDM network quality and reliability
  • Troubleshoot complex problems and develop innovative solutions day to day on our network.
 Must-Have Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related field or equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3+ years industry experience
  • Experience with optical planning, modelling tools and rollout of large DWDM networks
  • Expertise IP networking fundamentals and IP protocols
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with major DWDM platforms (Ciena, Infinera and Cisco)
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with major router platforms (Cisco and Juniper) including compatible supervisory and line cards for these platforms
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with major internet routing protocols specifically BGP and OSPF
  • Excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills
  • Should also have had significant past experience with, and expertise in many of the following protocols & technologies: DWDM, T1/DS1, DS3, SONET (OC3, OC48), 802.2/3, 802.1d VLANs/STP, IPv4 & IPv6, TCP (internals & flow control), BGP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, TACACS, IPSEC & VPNs, netflow, DNS, HTTP
