Responsibilities
- Drive Strategic Innovation: Develop and implement scalable automation solutions and process optimizations that address current operational needs while building future-ready systems and enhanced operational capabilities.
- Embrace Continuous Innovation: Learn rapidly from experience, iterate on solutions, and treat every challenge as an opportunity for operational advancement.
- Ownership Research & Verification: Research and verify publishing ownership data using internal and external third-party tools to identify gaps and improve the accuracy and completeness of rights holder and ownership information.
- Support the end-to-end management of music publishing operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with partner requirements.
- Assist with data ingestion, validation, and quality assurance across publishing data systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to resolve data discrepancies and operational issues.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain and improve documentation of processes, workflows, and standard operating procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in operations, data management, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in spreadsheet tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Excel) and comfort working with large datasets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role within the music publishing industry.
- Familiarity with music publishing data (e.g., royalty data, metadata, ownership/share information).
- Experience researching publishing ownership information using third-party tools.
- Experience with music publishing data exchange processes and formats (e.g., CWR, DDEX).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience with process automation tools or scripting (e.g., Python, SQL).
- Knowledge of music rights management tools.
