Job Responsibilities:
- The 2D Drafter supports process and design engineering teams by producing accurate, high-quality 2D drawings for industrial water and process systems.
- This role focuses primarily on P&IDs in AutoCAD Plant 3D and may also support general arrangement drawings, and fabrication drawings in Plant 3D and Advanced Steel.
- The drafter works under general direction and follows established standards while coordinating closely with engineers, designers, and fabricators.
Here's What You Will Do:
- Produce and maintain P&IDs using AutoCAD Plant 3D based on engineering input and project standards
- Maintain AutoCAD Plant 3D project data (tagging, symbols, blocks)
- Generate 2D general arrangement (GA) drawings, layouts, sections, and details
- Develop fabrication drawings for frames, piping, and skidded systems (desirable)
- Incorporate redlines, RFIs, vendor data, and as-built updates into issued drawings
- Ensure drawings comply with company drafting standards, client requirements, and applicable codes
- Coordinate with process engineers, designers, and project teams to resolve drawing conflicts
- Support drawing packages for submittals, IFC releases, and field construction
- Participate in drawing reviews and QA/QC checks prior to issue
- Maintain organized CAD files, revision histories, and document control practices
- Maintain professionalism when handling business sensitive and confidential information
- Perform all work in accordance with established quality (ISO 9001:2015) and safety procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.

Required Skills:
- 3–7 years of drafting experience in an industrial, EPC, or design/build environment
- AutoCAD Plant 3D experience – able to create/modify P&IDs
- Strong understanding of piping, equipment layouts, and industrial drawing conventions
- Ability to read and interpret process flow diagrams, specifications, and markups
- Experience working within established CAD standards and project workflows
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple drawing packages concurrently
Preferred Skills:
- Fabrication drawing experience (piping, skids, frames, supports)
- Exposure to UPW, water treatment, chemical, or semiconductor facilities
- Familiarity with isometrics, line lists, and basic bill of material extraction
- Experience coordinating with fabrication shops or construction teams
Technology Requirements:
- CAD/AutoCAD
Soft Skills Required:
- Must be a team player; will work independently as well-self starter
Education/Experience Requirement:
- Associate degree or technical training in Drafting, Design Technology, or a related field.
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Interaction level with Mgmt/Team members:
- 6 people on draft team-must be a team player and well written
