Title: Manager, Design Brand Compliance
Location:  6201 North 24th Parkway, Phoenix, AZ/Hybrid - 3 days onsite
Duration: Direct hire

Job Purpose
Leads and supports compliance with brand design initiatives with a strong focus on FF&E specification, and Property Improvement Plan (PIP) execution. Provides technical design expertise, project oversight, and coordination of board-level deliverables. This role combines hands-on design compliance leadership with program management and direct team leadership.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversees design programs and initiatives with a focus on brand compliance, quality, and adherence to company design standards and review processes.
  • Provides technical design leadership to Sr Designers responsible for FF&E review, ensuring consistency in specification, documentation, and implementation.
  • Promotes design excellence through oversight of interior submittal packages and formal review of proposed FF&E brand standard deviations, ensuring consistency with brand requirements.
  • Supports Property Improvement Plan (PIP) execution by interpreting scope, reviewing submissions, and tracking compliance.
  • Prepares and coordinates comprehensive monthly Board materials, including agendas, project summaries, PIP cost estimates, FF&E budget insights, and property background.
  • Tracks project milestones and deadlines to ensure timely and accurate Board submissions.
  • Collaborates with internal teams, hotel owners, and external partners to resolve design and specification issues.
  • Builds strong relationships with hotel owners, stakeholders, and leadership through clear communication and design guidance.
  • Contributes to team and departmental goals by supporting process improvements and maintaining brand standards.
 
Preferred Experience and Education
  • 6+ years of professional experience in interior design or architecture with a strong emphasis on hospitality projects and FF&E specification.
  • Experience with hotel Property Improvement Plans (PIP).
  • 1 + years experience in a people-management role, preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field — or equivalent experience.
  • NCIDQ certification preferred.
 
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint for reporting and board preparation.
  • Strong knowledge of FF&E specification, sourcing, pricing, and lifecycle considerations.
  • Ability to develop PIP cost estimates and interpret project budgets.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present design concepts and project updates to both design and non-design audiences.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and influence decisions related to design standards and compliance.
  • Working knowledge of hospitality design trends, brand standards, and industry practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve design and project-related issues.
 
Work Location and Schedule
  • This is a hybrid position, requiring onsite presence Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at our Headquarters location, with the option to work remote on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  This hybrid model fosters intentional collaboration, teamwork, connection, and productivity, while still providing flexibility and work life balance.  The office address is 6201 N 24th Parkway, Phoenix, Arizona 85016
 
Travel
  • May travel up to 10% to support properties and strength
