Title: Maintenance Technician Level III
Location: Bremen, IN

Duration: Full-time

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician III is a senior-level industrial maintenance position with a strong emphasis on PLC controls, programming, drives, commissioning, and advanced electrical troubleshooting. This individual will serve as a high-level technical resource for complex equipment issues and should be capable of diagnosing and resolving controls-related problems with limited supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical, controls, and automation issues on manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform PLC troubleshooting and programming.
  • Support the commissioning, configuration, and troubleshooting of variable-frequency drives and other industrial drive systems.
  • Diagnose PLC I/O, sensors, motors, drives, control circuits, and other automation components.
  • Perform advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on production equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, ladder logic, control drawings, and equipment documentation.
  • Assist with equipment installations, startups, upgrades, and commissioning.
  • Identify root causes of recurring equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Serve as a technical resource to other maintenance technicians when complex controls or electrical issues arise.
  • Partner with engineering and production teams on equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow all plant safety and PPE requirements.
Candidate Profile
  • Advanced industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Heavy PLC experience is required.
  • Must have hands-on experience troubleshooting and programming PLCs, not simply replacing components or working around PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Strong experience with industrial drives, including commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Advanced electrical troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of industrial controls and automation systems.
  • Ability to independently diagnose complex equipment failures.
  • Good employment history with a detailed resume clearly demonstrating technical depth.
  • Must be flexible regarding shift assignment when necessary.
