Job Title: Phlebotomist II
Location: Different sites in Winston Salem NC & Kernersville area
Orientation and training: 2530 Empire Dr Winston Salem, NC 27103
Duration: 4 Months 
Schedule: M-f 5am-530p with possible saturdays
Vaccines required:
RHepatitis B RTB RMMR RT-DAP RFlu RVaricella

Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced laboratory or hospital environment while maintaining exceptional patient care and specimen integrity.
Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture using straight and butterfly needles.
  • Collect, label, process, centrifuge, split, freeze, and package specimens according to established procedures.
  • Verify patient information and accurately match specimens with laboratory requisitions.
  • Explain specimen collection procedures to patients in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain specimen integrity through proper handling, storage, and transportation.
  • Update patient information and document specimen collection accurately.
  • Perform equipment maintenance and decontamination as required.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, DEP, and laboratory safety regulations.
  • Answer phone calls and assist with laboratory-related inquiries.
  • Participate in required departmental training and maintain quality standards.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 6 months of recent phlebotomy experience in a hospital or high-volume laboratory setting.
  • Overall 2–4 years of healthcare/phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in venipuncture using straight and butterfly needles.
  • Experience processing and handling laboratory specimens.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong communication and patient care skills.
  • Valid Phlebotomy Certification if required by state regulations.

Answer we do around 100+ a day • How long is the worker expected to stand? – Answer 80% • Are there any specialties? – Answer yes endo, Ob • Will this person work with a team or alone? – Answer both • How many weeks of training is required at the start of this role Answer 2-3
