Location: Caguas, PR
Yearly Salary: $62,000k a year

Overall Summary of Position:
Responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of financial policies and internal controls consistent with the company’s goals and objectives. Oversees financial planning, manufacturing accounting, internal audit, and the reporting and analysis of operating results, ensuring compliance with government and company regulations. Maintains effective organization through the selection, training, development, and engagement of direct reports while promoting open communication, diversity, continuous improvement, and a safe work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, cash management, budgeting, and cost accounting.
  • Design organizational structures to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Ensure all accounting transactions (payables, receivables, payroll, inventory, and capital expenditures) are properly recorded in compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepare internal financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Calculate budget variances and report findings to management leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and grant requirements.
  • Manage the cost accounting system (Dynamics AX), financial reporting, and inventory control.
  • Conduct financial evaluations of new products, including NPV, IRR, and payback period analysis.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cash flow statements.
  • Comply with government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Lead preparation of the annual budget and periodic financial forecasts.
  • Participate in organizational assessments to identify operational efficiencies, tax exemptions, and support structures that foster growth and success.
  • Coordinate information provided to external auditors for annual audits.
  • Serve as a member of Savings Plan, Medicare Plan, and Insurance Plan Committees.
  • Participate in contract reviews and preparation of new business quotes.
  • Provide financial analysis for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
  • 8+ years of experience in all phases of finance, including cost accounting, financial planning and control, budgeting, and cash management in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • At least 5+ years of leadership experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Business Application).
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proven experience coaching, leading, and managing individuals and teams.
  • Flexibility to respond to constantly changing conditions and priorities.
