Position Title: Contracts Coordinator
Work Location: Cambridge, MA 02142
Assignment Duration: 5+ Months
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (onsite required Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and as required)
Position Summary:
The Contracts Coordinator is responsible for purchase orders creation in The Organization’s procurement systems for Global Medical. This will be achieved by:

Supports Global Medical teams through structured procurement and contract request handling.

Position Summary:
The Contracts Coordinator is responsible for purchase orders creation in The Organization’s procurement systems for Global Medical. This will be achieved by:
Background & Context:
Supports Global Medical teams through structured procurement and contract request handling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Applying The Organization processes, systems, and SOPs
- Processing of purchase order requests and follow to completion in The Organization system(s)
- Ensuring appropriateness is applied in coding
- Work with business owners and legal to resolve contracting issues
- Process contracts requests to generate purchase orders (PO) following defined procedures in support of Global Medical teams
- Follow PO requests from initiation to PO generation, resolving issues as they arise
- Monitor activities related to the PO generation status, including timely follow-up with parties involved to mitigate any delays
- Numeric verification of contract values to PO value
- Knowledge of The Organization’s purchasing systems
- Understand and ability to apply financial account codes to PO requests
- Engage with business owners and all who are involved in the process
- Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned
Qualification & Experience:
- High School diploma with 5+ years of business experience (or equivalent)
- Prior experience on contracts, purchasing processes and purchase to pay systems
- Strong organizational skills, ability to track activities and follow-up to completion
- Good critical thinking skills
- Sense of ownership and results oriented
- Self-motivated
- Flexibility combined with tenacity to complete assigned tasks in high quality and timely manner
- Effective communication skills, proficiency in English (written/spoken)
- Team focused personality with strong collaboration abilities both internally and externally
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Ability to quickly learn and apply skills in processing and systems
- Ability to predict issues, anticipate risks and solve problems
- Issue identification and independent resolution
- Flexibility, tolerance and diplomacy to best manage change and differing opinions
