Location: Barceloneta, PR 
Pay Rate: $27.41

Job Purpose:
The Communication Specialist will serve as a project management assistant for key departmental initiatives and tactics, including internal communications, corporate branding support, and communication-related activities and vehicles such as meetings and presentations. This role will collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization and with external vendors on key communication initiatives originating from the department.

Responsibilities:
  • Assists in the implementation of the corporate brand plan, including the production and management of brand tools, resources, and materials such as asset libraries and printed materials.
  • Provides publishing support for corporate channels, as directed.
  • Supports the development and publication of key departmental communications and assists in the management and distribution of content, including content for internal communications.
  • Supports content development, timeline management, and planning.
  • Supports the coordination, content development, and communication of events.
  • Ensures accurate and up-to-date materials are available on relevant internal communications sites as needed.
  • Assists in managing, including tracking budget expenditures.
  • Coordinates and maintains departmental communication files, as assigned, in compliance with corporate and government regulations.
  • Follows purchasing and requisition procedures, Corporate Security and Privacy Rules, and Corporate Branding Guidelines.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in communication or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with social media and digital communication.
  • Proficient and understands Microsoft Office Suite and other business-specific software.
  • Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Strong prioritization, time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must have skills:
    • Multi-tasking
    • Design skills
    • Excellent writing skills in spanish and english
    • Event planning
