Title - CNC Setup
Department: Machine Center Department
Duration - 12 Months
Location - Hamilton OH, 45015
Pay Rate: $22-$24/hr.
2nd/4th Shift Differential of $3.00/hr
Hours:4th shift hours: 6m - 6pm (FRI-SUN)
May need to train on 1st shift Hours MON-THUR 6am-4pm
Must have CNC "Setup" experience to be considered for position

Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate any and all CNC lathes and mills in a safe and efficient manner.
- Callup programs and set-up tooling for CNC lathes.
- Edit CNC lathe programs, as necessary.
- Measure parts and make tool corrections as CNC lathe is running production
- Instruct less skilled employees in the operation or set up of any CNC lathes and mills.
- Perform inspections of parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform daily upkeep and routine maintenance, keeping equipment and production area in good working order.
- Ensure that correct cutting insert is used for type of material
- Follow instructions; written and/or verbal; from the production supervisors.
- Produce 100% high-quality, high-volume parts, with emphasis on reducing cycle time.
- Ensure that all parts are cleaned, counted, de-burred, assembled and handled properly.
- Comply with and support all aspects of the companys quality management program.
- Inventory and document tooling and inserts.
- Technical College or Equivalent Experience
- 1+ years of experience operating, setting up, and programming CNC mills and manual milling equipment
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and product specifications.
- Ability to use gages and measuring instruments such as micrometer calipers, etc.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of personnel within operation.
- Ability to read, sort, check, count, and verify numbers.
- Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects.
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
- Reading, math, and communication skills equivalent to a high school education and one or more years of related experience, or equivalent.
- Language Skills - Good communication skills are key. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Mathematical Skills- Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
- Reasoning Ability - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Need to be able to exercise good judgment and decision-making skills. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have Other Skills and Abilities - Must be detail oriented. Must be organized and have the ability and drive to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
