Discipline: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Must Have Phlebotomy Experience

Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with strong phlebotomy experience to support a busy outpatient clinic. This is a float role, with the primary work location in Westport and coverage at the Darien Commons and New Canaan offices as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient check-in and check-out.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect copays.
• Perform phlebotomy (blood draws).
• Administer vaccines.
• Perform EKGs.
• Support full laboratory operations and specimen handling.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Deliver excellent patient care while working across multiple clinic locations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required.
• Recent phlebotomy (blood draw) experience required.
• Experience administering vaccines and performing EKGs.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and patient registration.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to float between the Westport, Darien Commons, and New Canaan offices as needed.
