Position Title: Business Analyst Expert
Line of business: B2B (Banking & credit)
Est. Start Date: Aug 17
Duration: 6 months (Possibility of Extension)
Working Location: Toronto/Scarborough (Hybrid (2 days on site -Mondays & Tuesdays)
Team size: 4 people (newly created team)
Team culture: Collaborative

Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end business analysis, including requirements elicitation, process modeling, and solution validation.
Break down complex problems, analyze data, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations.
Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical design, particularly in platform transformation initiatives.
Review and ensure quality of deliverables (e.g., requirements documents, process flows, data models).
Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate defect triage and resolution.
Ensure solutions meet business objectives and stakeholder expectations prior to production deployment.
MUST HAVE
7–10+ years of business analysis experience within financial services or capital markets.
Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
Experience defining:
Business requirements
Functional requirements
User stories
Process flows
Data mapping
Acceptance criteria
Experience using Jira, Confluence, Visio, Microsoft Office Suite, and collaboration tools.
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and lead complex initiatives from concept through implementation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Excellent communication skills (oral & written)
NICE TO HAVE
Experience within Debt Capital Markets, Capital Markets, Fixed Income Trading, Syndication, Investment Banking, or Global Markets.
Understanding of:
Bonds
Debt issuance lifecycle
Book Building
Allocations
Pricing workflows
Trade lifecycle
Settlement processes
Experience with market data and capital markets platforms such as Bloomberg, IPREO, DirectBooks, Salesforce, or related systems.
Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools including Power BI, SQL, and data visualization platforms.
Any specific education/certifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
Interview process: 1 Teams & 1 in person & 1 TBD
Interview dates: As soon as candidates have been identified. A BA will do the Teams interview since manager will be away and back in office on Aug 10th.
